Which isoforms of the CD56 antigen does the CD56 MRQ-42 clone recognize? I am curious about the 120kD, 140kD, and 180 kD isoforms, in particular.

What is the stability of cut slides for staining with the CD56 MRQ-42 clone, particularly for slides that have been sectioned 6 months to 1 year ago and stored at -20°C with desiccant?
1 answer-
It is generally recommended to begin with fresh cut tissue for use in IHC. When storing pre-cut tissue slides, it is typically done under refrigerated conditions (2 to 8°C), which can last for 2 to 3 years. However, the potential effects of storing at temperatures of -20°C with desiccant are not well-known in terms of tissue preservation. The best practice is to always use fresh cut tissue sections when possible.
