human ... PKMYT1(9088)
一般描述
The PKMYT1 (protein kinase, membrane associated tyrosine/threonine 1) gene is differentially expressed between fetal liver and postnatal liver.[1] This gene is mapped to human chromosome 16p13.3.[2] It is also known to be localized to immature oocytes.[3] MYT1 (myelin transcription factor 1) is a member of a family of neural specific, zinc finger-containing DNA-binding proteins. MYT1 of the oligodendrocyte lineage, along with a closely related CCHC zinc finger, is expressed in developing neurons in the mammalian central nervous system. The recombinant MYT1 fragments containing either the upstream 2 zinc fingers or the downstream 4 zinc fingers bound the same cis regulatory element in the PLP1 promoter in vitro and DNA binding required Zn2+, but not other divalent cations.
生化/生理作用
The PKMYT1 (protein kinase, membrane associated tyrosine/threonine 1) gene expression is essential for disease progression of colorectal cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma.[4] The action of Cdc2 (cyclin-dependent kinase 2), an essential molecule required for the induction of mitosis, is regulated by PKMYT1.[3] PKMYT1 binds to the promoter regions of proteolipid proteins of the central nervous system and plays a role in the developing nervous system.
