應用

生化／生理作用
凝集素是碳水化合物结合蛋白，对糖部分具有高度特异性。商陆凝集素（PL）是对含有N-乙酰氨基葡糖的糖特异的凝集素，其通过与细胞表面结合来刺激外周淋巴细胞进行有丝分裂。从商陆（美洲商陆）的根中分离出四种类型的凝集素。它们含有同源结构域，但具有不同的分子大小和生物学特性。
PWM 从商陆根中提取。该蛋白质具有红血球凝集、白血球凝集和促有丝分裂特性。PWM 不具有血型特异性，但具有与 N-乙酰基-β-D-葡糖胺低聚物的亲和性。
