N-乙酰-L-半胱氨酸已可用于研究其对苯乙烯诱导的大鼠耳蜗损伤的保护作用。[1]它还被用作化学成分明确的基础培养基(BDM)的补充剂,用于培养少突胶质细胞前体细胞。[2]

生化/生理作用

抗氧化剂和黏液溶解剂(mucolytic agent)。增加细胞池的自由基清除剂。 据报道可防止神经细胞凋亡,但会诱导平滑肌细胞凋亡。抑制HIV复制。可作为微粒体谷胱甘肽转移酶的底物。
