Silicon dioxide based microparticles are suitable for profiling particle size distribution (PSD) of test samples.
The particle diameter of 2 μm is evaluated using Coulter Multisizer.

应用

Used to qualify and monitor the performance of particle size equipment.
Also used as a calibration standard to:
  • assess 3D particle tracking ability of optical diffraction tomography instrument for optically trapped silica beads[1]
  • synthesize inverse patchy colloids (IPCs) for phase-behavior studies of heterogeneously charged particles[2]
