该方法类似于EPA 212.3、APHA 4500-B B和ASTM D3082-15。

方法原理：在酸性溶液中，硼酸盐离子与二醇反应形成螯合物，螯合物被选择性提取。在提取物中，螯合物与姜黄素反应形成红色复合物，该复合物通过光度法测定。
