一般描述
Phosphatidylcholine (PC), an endogenous lipid, found in the secretion of bile[1] is ubiquitously present in the tissues of animals.[2]
The list of Phosphatidylcholine products offered by Avanti is designed to provide compounds having a variety of physical properties. Products available include short chain (C3-C8 are water soluble and hygroscopic), saturated, multi-unsaturated and mixed acid PC′s. All of the products are purified by HPLC, and special precautions are taken to protect the products for oxidization and hydrolysis.

23:0 PC may be used:
- in unilamellar liposomes preparation to study its interaction with single-strand phosphorothioate oligonucleotides (ONs)[3]
- as an internal standard to validate the extracted lipids from bovine plasma[4]
- as an internal standard to quantify fatty acids and cholesterol in H1299 cells[5]
