General description

The Mouse IFN-γ ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of mouse IFN-γ in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.

Immunogen

Recombinant Mouse IFN-γ

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)
Mouse IFN-γ ELISA Kit has been used to measure serum proinflammatory cytokine levels in a renal ischemia/reperfusion injury model.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Interferon γ (IFN-γ) regulates cell differentiation and inflammatory responses. It stimulates the expression of apoptotic mediators. IFN-γ is associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It reduces the differentiation of T helper (Th) 17 cells and osteoclasts. IFN-γ has immunomodulatory and antiviral activity. It is associated with autoimmune pathology. IFN-γ provides protection against tumor development.

Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide (CGRP) inhibits microglia inflammatory activation in vitro. We here analyzed the involvement of CGRP and Receptor Component Protein (RCP) in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). Alpha-CGRP deficiency increased EAE scores which followed the scale alpha-CGRP null>heterozygote>wild type. In
