Milliflex® Cassette are ready to use agar-based media to be used with Milliflex® or Milliflex Oasis® system for convenient, rapid and reliable bioburden testing. The prefilled agar cassette helps to streamline the microbial contamination testing workflow with quality assurance and avoiding risks of exogenous contamination. Each plate is a 3-piece assembly containing approximately 10ml of the media. Plate Count Agar is used for obtaining microbial plate counts from water and other materials of sanitary importance, milk and dairy products, foods. The medium contains Pancreatic digest of casein that provides amino acids, nitrogen, carbon, vitamins and minerals for growth of the organism. Yeast extract primarily supplies the B-complex vitamins. Dextrose is the fermentable carbohydrate and provides an energy source for the growth of bacteria.
Application
Milliflex® Cassette prefilled with Plate Count Agar is used in Bioburden testing and general microbiological analysis of water, wastewater and dairy products. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and brewing industry.
