LiChrospher® HPLC Columns
LiChrospher® HPLC columns are known for their reliable, fully porous spherical silica-based sorbent, which is recognized for its trusted performance in thousands of HPLC methods throughout various application fields. The sorbent is produced traditionally with various modifications, allowing it to adapt to different chromatographic needs.
The non-polar modified phases LiChrospher® RP-8, RP-8 endcapped, RP-select B, RP-18, RP-18 endcapped are made for reversed-phase separations.
For the normal phase the polar modified phases, such as LiChrospher® CN, LiChrospher® NH2, and LiChrospher® DIOL, as well as the unmodified LiChrospher® SI, are well-suited.
Additionally, LiChrospher® PAH is renowned for its high selectivity in separating polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).
LiChrospher® packing materials are available in Hibar® RT ready-to-use columns and LiChroCART® cartridges, offering a variety of lengths and internal diameters (10 mm, 4.6 mm, 4 mm, 3 mm, and 2 mm). The narrow-bore LiChroCART® cartridges (3 mm I.D. and 2 mm I.D.) offer significant benefits for HPLC by minimizing solvent consumption, decreasing operational costs, and improving sensitivity and resolution. Additionally, LiChroCART® cartridges with internal diameters of 4.6 mm, 4 mm, 3 mm, and 2 mm are compatible with the manu-CART® NT system, enabling faster and more adaptable method adjustments for smaller bore columns. The LiChroCART® cartridges, with a 10 mm internal diameter, are specifically designed for larger-scale applications and are compatible with the manu-CART® “10”-II system.
LiChrospher® 100 RP-18 and RP-18 endcapped HPLC Columns
LiChrospher® 100 RP-18 and RP-18 endcapped HPLC columns are very reliable and highly versatile C18 phases. These traditionally manufactured spherical silica-based supports are intended for reversed-phase chromatography of acidic, neutral, and weakly basic compounds—substances commonly encountered across various analytical fields. Several individual batches are utilized to create a large master batch of the LiChrospher® RP-18 sorbent. This removes discrepancies among various small batches and guarantees the sorbent's outstanding consistency from one batch to another. As a result, LiChrospher® RP-18 provides consistently reproducible outcomes, ensuring the reliability of your HPLC method.
LiChrospher® RP-18 HPLC Columns are classified as USP L1 columns, meeting the stringent requirements for reversed-phase chromatography and ensuring consistent, high-quality separations in pharmaceutical and analytical applications.

LiChrospher® 100 RP-8 and RP-8 endcapped HPLC Columns
LiChrospher® 100 RP-8 and RP-8 endcapped HPLC columns are made from spherical silica gel carriers that exhibit C8 or C8 endcapped reversed-phase characteristics. The columns demonstrate exceptional versatility, making them appropriate for acidic, neutral, and weakly basic compounds. The columns provide excellent selectivity and performance, guaranteeing consistent separations across different batches and over the years.

LiChrospher® 60 RP-Select B HPLC Columns
LiChrospher® 60 RP-Select B is designed specifically for HPLC separations of basic compounds. The sorbent, derived from spherical silica particles, effectively prevents secondary interactions with basic substances, ensuring their elution as highly symmetrical peaks. In addition to providing outstanding separation properties for basic compounds, LiChrospher® 60 RP-Select B is also appropriate for the analysis of neutral and acidic substances. For LiChrospher® RP-select B, multiple individual batches are utilized to create a large master batch of the sorbent. This removes discrepancies among various small batches and guarantees the sorbent's outstanding consistency from one batch to another. As a result, LiChrospher® RP-select B column provides exceptionally consistent outcomes, ensuring the dependability of your HPLC method.
The exceptional reproducibility of the “master batch LiChrospher® RP-select B" in comparison to smaller individual batches of the sorbent is clearly evidenced by the Tanaka test, a rigorous HPLC column testing procedure.

LiChrospher® 100 DIOL HPLC Columns
LiChrospher® 100 DIOL has both polar and hydrophobic characteristics, combining weak hydrophobic interactions with polar interactions. This allows for successful HPLC separation of complex samples. The sorbent can be employed as a less polar alternative to LiChrospher® Si 60 in normal-phase applications, as well as a less hydrophobic alternative (with some limits) to LiChrospher® RP-8 in reversed-phase applications. Furthermore, LiChrospher® DIOL is suitable for HILIC chromatography.

LiChrospher® 100 NH2 HPLC Columns
LiChrospher® NH2 is a versatile sorbent that features both polar and hydrophobic characteristics. This makes it appropriate for normal-phase, reversed-phase, HILIC, and ion exchange chromatography. Common applications involve the separation of carbohydrates (mono-, di-, and oligosaccharides) using reversed-phase chromatography, as well as the separation of nucleotides through ion exchange chromatography.

LiChrospher® 100 CN HPLC Columns
LiChrospher® 100 CN exhibits a unique combination of polar and hydrophobic properties, integrating weak hydrophobic interactions alongside polar interactions. This facilitates effective HPLC separations of intricate samples. The sorbent is a less polar option than LiChrospher® Si 60 for normal-phase applications or a less hydrophobic choice relative to LiChrospher® RP-8 for reversed-phase applications. This adaptable sorbent is also appropriate for selective charged interactions.

LiChrospher® PAH HPLC Columns
LiChrospher® PAH is a highly selective HPLC column, built specifically for the trace analysis of PAH. The column delivers outstanding, high-resolution gradient separations of 16 PAH in accordance with EPA 610 and EPA 550, in addition to benzo[e]pyrene and perylene. Further, the LiChrospher® PAH columns are well-suited for the isocratic separation of 6 PAHs in accordance with the German DIN method. They incorporate programmed fluorescence detection, enabling precise and sensitive analysis. During typical runs, the first eluting polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH), naphthalene, appears at approximately 10 minutes, with full separation completed within 30 minutes.
