Opis

General description

Di-n-butyl phthalates (DnBPs) are mainly used in personal-care products like perfumes, aftershaves, shampoos, make up and nail products, paints, etc.

This compound is listed in the SVHC (Substances of very high concern) candidate list of ECHA (European Chemicals Agency)

Application

DnBP has been used as a certified reference material (CRM) for the determination of the analyte in cleaning and personal care products[1] by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and as a reference standard for the identification of the analyte in tea beverages by ionic liquid-based hollow fiber liquid phase microextraction (IL-HF-PLME), coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detection (HPLC-DAD). It may be used as a reference standard for the analysis of the analyte in food samples and as urinary metabolites in pregnant women by LC-MS.
