Application

Tyrphostin 23 can be used as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor for studying rat ghrelin-induced MAPK stimulation in GH3 cells[1]. Tyrphostin 23 has also been used to analyze its effects on secretoneurin (SN)-induced chemotaxis of neutrophils[2].

Biochem/physiol Actions

Tyrphostin 23 is a small molecule inhibitor of epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor kinase function. This molecule associates with the substrate subsite of the protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) domain[3],[4].
