General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which belong to one of the four categories of greener alternatives. Sodium acetate trihydrate supports sustainable technologies as an eco-friendly phase change material for thermal energy storage, offering efficient heat retention and release while reducing energy waste and promoting cleaner energy solutions.Click here for more information.

Application

  • Unraveling the effects of drying techniques on chaya leaves: Metabolomics analysis of nonvolatile and volatile metabolites, umami taste, and antioxidant capacity.: This study explores the impact of different drying methods on the biochemical composition of chaya leaves using sodium acetate trihydrate as a buffer component to measure antioxidant capacity. The research provides insights into optimizing processing methods to retain beneficial compounds and enhance flavor (Hutasingh N et al., 2024).

  • The role of urea in formation of the sodium acetate trihydrate (SAT)-urea eutectic liquid: a neutron diffraction and isotopic substitution study.: This paper discusses the use of sodium acetate trihydrate in creating a eutectic mixture with urea, which is characterized by neutron diffraction. The findings highlight the chemical′s utility in studying fluid properties and interactions at the molecular level, useful for designing novel solvents and materials (Byrne EL et al., 2024).

  • Fabrication of multi-functional gelatin/deep eutectic solvent/polyacrylonitrile nanofiber membranes via electrospinning.: This research uses sodium acetate trihydrate in the synthesis of advanced nanofiber structures for potential applications in filtration and biotechnology. The study showcases the adaptability of sodium acetate trihydrate in facilitating novel manufacturing processes (Cui Y et al., 2023).

  • Preparation, thermal storage properties and application of sodium acetate trihydrate/expanded graphite composite phase change materials.: Highlights the use of sodium acetate trihydrate in developing composite materials for energy storage. This study demonstrates the potential of these composites in enhancing the efficiency of thermal energy systems, which is crucial for developing sustainable energy solutions (Wang KW et al., 2023).

  • Improvement and enhancement of oligosaccharide production from Lactobacillus acidophilus using statistical experimental designs and its inhibitory effect on colon cancer.: This paper investigates the role of sodium acetate trihydrate in optimizing the fermentation conditions for the production of bioactive oligosaccharides. The study also examines the anti-cancer properties of these oligosaccharides, providing valuable data for future cancer research and probiotic development (Abo-Zaid GA et al., 2023).

Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1 answer
    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.
For more information, please refer to the Product Dating Information document: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/marketing/global/documents/418/501/product-dating-information-06-25-mk.pdf

  2. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1 answer
    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. For more information, please refer to the Storage and Transport Conditions document: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/marketing/global/documents/316/622/storage-transport-conditions-mk.pdf
