Opis

General description

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar + LTHTh in 90 mm settle plate with 30 mL filling volume for long incubation is designed for the detection of yeasts and molds in the air via active or passive air monitoring as well as fingerprints of personnel in controlled environments in the presence of disinfectant residues.
Sabouraud Dextrose Medium contains digests of animal tissues (peptones), which provide a nutritious source of amino acids and nitrogenous compounds for the growth of fungi and yeasts. Dextrose is added as the energy and carbon source. The low pH favors fungal growth and inhibits contaminating bacteria from samples. Additionally, the medium is supplemented with neutralizers such as lecithin, polysorbate (Tween^®) 80, histidine, and Sodium thiosulphate to inactivate disinfectant residues.

Application

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar + LTHTh settle plate is designed for the detection of the total count of yeasts and molds in air and from personnel in less critical environments.

Other Notes

• The product can be used for sampling until the expiry date if stored upright, protected from light, andproperly sealed at +15 °C to +25 °C.
• Condensation can be prevented by avoiding quick temperature shifts and mechanical stress.
• The testing procedures as described on the CoA can be started up to the expiry date printed on the label.
