General description

Centrin-2 is also called Caltractin isoform 1. Centrin-2 is involved in microtubule organization, structure and function, and is required for centriole duplication and spindle formation. Centrin-2 also has a role in regulating cytokinesis, genome stability and global genome nucleotide excision repair (GG-NER) as component of the XPC complex.
~18 kDa observed. Uncharacterized band(s) may be observed in some cell lysates.

Recombinant protein corresponding to human Centrin-2.

Application

Anti-Centrin-2 Antibody is a highly specific rabbit polyclonal antibody, that targets Centrin & has been tested in western blotting, ICC, IHC & IP.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected Centrin-2 in MDCK cells (Koch, A., et al. (2010). Mol Biol Cell. 21(2):219-231.).

Analysis Note

Evaluated by Western Blotting in Jurkat cell lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected Centrin-2 in 10 µg of Jurkat cell lysate.
