Gene Information

human ... ESRRB(2103)

General description

The estrogen-related receptor beta (ESRRB) was initially identified in mouse embryonic carcinoma stem cells and was found to be expressed exclusively in trophoblast progenitor cells between days 6.5 and 7.5 post coitum. Recent studies have shown that ESRRB is part of an POU5F1/Oct4-centered protein interaction network in embryonic stem (ES) cells. It is thought to interact with other ES transcription factors such as NANOG within this network, activating POU5F1 transcription and thereby sustaining self-renewal and pluripotency in ES cells.
~56 kDa observed

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to Amino acids 376-388 of Human ESRRB protein.

Application

Immunocytochemical Analysis: 1:50 dilution of this antibody detected ESRRB in a mouse embryonic stem cells.
This Anti-ESRRB Antibody is validated for use in Western Blotting and Immunocytochemistry for the detection of ESRRB.

Analysis Note

Evaluated by Western Blot in a mouse brain E16 lysate. Western Blot Analysis: 1μg/ml of this antibody detected ESRRB in a mouse brain E16 lysate. Uncharacterized bands may be observed in some cell lysates with longer exposure times.
