General description
Application
1. Invert the column several times to re-suspend the resin material. Remove the tip of the column and let the liquid drain off.
2. Buffer Equilibration: Detergent-OUT columns are supplied in deionized water. A better result is obtained when the column and protein solution are in water or phosphate buffer. Columns may be equilibrated with other types of buffer. Note: Do not equilibrate the columns with Tris buffer and other such buffers. Apply about 1.0 mL of a desired buffer into the column. Let the buffer drain into collection tube. Repeat this process 3 times.
3. Place the column in a 15mL centrifuge tube. Centrifuge at 1000 xg for 20-30 seconds. Discard the liquid collected in the centrifuge tube.
4. Place the column back in the same centrifuge tube. Carefully apply the protein suspension to the center of the column. Wait for 5 minutes..
5. After loading the column centrifuge at 1000 xg for 20-30 seconds. Collect the liquid comprising purified protein material free from detergent originally present in the sample.
