General description

El sistema de vacío Visiprep DL (revestimiento desechable) elimina la posibilidad de contaminación cruzada cuando se procese una nueva muestra en el mismo puerto. El revestimiento consta de una conexión luer hembra de PP que se fija al SPE, y un tubo de PTFE de pared fina roscado al puerto SPE. Esto garantiza que todas las superficies de la válvula y el puerto SPE que entran en contacto con la muestra pueden ser sustituidas después de cada extracción.
La SPE es una forma de cromatografía y, como ocurre con otras técnicas cromatográficas, el control del caudal es fundamental para mantener extracciones reproducibles. A diferencia de otras rampas de vacío, el sistema Visiprep contiene un sistema valvular patentado que permite el control preciso del flujo a través de cada tubo de SPE mediante válvulas de tipo rosca, independientes, rotatorias situadas en cada puerto dentro de la tapa de la rampa. Las rampas de vacío Visiprep le permiten procesar hasta 12 (versión de 12 puertos) o 24 (versión de 24 puertos) muestras de SPE a la vez. El espaciado entre puertos es ligeramente menor en las versiones de 24 puertos que en las de 12 puertos, por lo que se recomienda tener en cuenta los tamaños de los tubos.

Application

El sistema de vacío SPE Visiprep se utilizó para realizar extracción en fase sólida con objeto de separar los polifenoles de las uvas y determinar el contenido de polifenoles utilizando análisis LC-MS.[1] También se utilizó para concentración y purificación de extractos de disolvente de las aguas de superficie y de los sedimentos de las aguas residuales.[2] Además se utilizó para extraer y determinar la estrona en el agua utilizando extracción en fase sólida-enzimoinmunoanálisis absorbente (SPE-ELISA).[3]

Para los modelos de 12 puertos, se dispone de una placa opcional para viales de centelleo de 20 ml.

  1. Will the racks suit collection in 50mL centrifuge tubes? My principal concern is in cross contamination between adjacent samples. Does this system prevent or reduce aspiration of fine particles during elution?

    1. The racks for the 24-port model of the Visiprep™ SPE Vacuum Manifold are designed for use with smaller collection vessels. The widest collection vessel recommended for the 24-port model is a small 22.75 mm outer diameter scintillation vial. Since 50 mL centrifuge tubes have a nominal outer diameter of 30 mm, they would not fit this model.

      There is no containment system to separate collection vessels during sample processing. The disposable liner from each port can be inserted with slight depth into the respective collection vessel to reduce the likelihood of fine solvent particles being aspirated into the manifold.

  2. What is the spacing between ports for the manifolds?

      All ports on the 12 and 24 vacuum manifolds can only be used simultaneously with 1, 3, and 6mL tubes. In order to use all ports of the manifold with 12, 20, or 60 mL SPE tubes, Long Stem Flow Control Valves are required – see product 57048.

  3. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  4. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.     1. Yes, by replacing the manifold lid with Product No. 57251 or by replacing some of the DL ports to standard ports with Product No. 57032 and Product No. 57147-U
