General description
La temozolomida es un pequeño alquilante lipófilo.[1] Interactúa covalentemente con el microentorno nucleófilo dentro del ADN (residuos de guanina). Debido a esta propiedad la temozolomida se considera un citotóxico. El mecanismo de acción de la TMZ depende de su capacidad para hidrolizar el ADN, lo que provoca la degradación del ADN y la destrucción de las células tumorales. Las células de glioma maligno responden principalmente a la TMZ mediante parada del ciclo celular en G2/ M o, en raras ocasiones, por apoptosis.[1] La temozolomida es un agente metilante del ADN y modificador de la resistencia a fármacos; antitumoral y antiangiogénico. How long is Temozolomide stable for when dissolved as recommended, in DMSO at 10 mg/mL and storaged at 2-8C? Also, can the solution only be stored at 2-8C or can it be stored at -20C or -80C for long term storage

Wherever possible, solutions should be prepared fresh and used on the same day. However, should stock solutions need to be prepared in advance, store in aliquots at -20°C for up to 1 month. Allow aliquots to equilibrate to room temperature prior to opening. The long term storage at other temperatures is not determined. However, the published reference below may prove helpful:
