Descripción general

La congelación celular o la crioconservación de cultivos celulares es un proceso habitual. Es esencial para para mantener la integridad celular durante el almacenamiento. Los crioprotectores principalmente utilizados son el glicerol, el etilenglicol y el dimetilsulfóxido (DMSO).[1]

Aplicación

El medio para congelación celular-DMSO 1x se ha utilizado en la crioconservación de células renales embrionarias humanas HEK293 CNR2,[2] células sanguíneas mononucleares[3] y células neoplásicas prostáticas.[4]

Medio completo listo para usar. Formulación patentada con medio esencial mínimo, sulfóxido de dimetilo, suero bovino y suero bovino fetal.

  1. Good day will the cell- freezing medium - DMSO be suitable for freezing of human gingival fibroblsts? can they be stored in -80 freezer or rather in liquid nitrogen with this freezer medium?

    1. While not specifically tested on gingival fibroblasts, this product is tested using mulitple mammalian cell lines. There is no reason to suspect that this product would not be suitable. For frozen cell stocks, the recommended maximum temperature is -70°C. Liquid nitrogen (-80°C) is a typical medium for this product.
