Aplicación

El trihidrato de cloruro de oro (III) puede utilizarse como una sal de oro precursora para la producción de nanopartículas de oro (AuNP) utilizando diversos agentes reductores.[1][2]
También puede utilizarse como catalizador en los siguientes procesos:
  • Se utiliza HAuCl4 3H2O en PEG 400 para sintetizar derivados de espirocromeno a través de una reacción de tres componentes one-pot de isatinas/acenaftoquinona, compuestos de metileno activos y 1,3-dicetonas cíclicas / 4-hidroxicumarina.[3]      
  • El sistema catalítico Au/CeO2 se utiliza en la oxidación quimioselectiva de alcoholes aromáticos/alifáticos a los correspondientes compuestos carbonilo.[4]      
  • Se utiliza en la síntesis de alilnaftalenos por apertura del anillo de 1,4-epoxi-1,4-dihidronaftalenos con aliltrimetilsilano.[5]

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.     1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

    1. The recommended storage temperature for a powder product may not be the same as that for the reconstituted solution. However, for Gold Chloride, there are gold chloride solutions available with a recommended storage temperature of 2-8°C. Therefore, storing the solution at 2-8°C is advisable. Generally, the stability of the solution should be around 18 months or potentially longer. It's important to note that this may not always apply to other products.

    Storage conditions for gold chloride trihydrate solution

    We need to know if storing gold chloride trihydrate solution at -20°C or -80°C is advisable or not? Thanks

      The stability of this product in solution has not been determined. In this case, we recommend preparing solutions fresh.
      According to literature solutions could be stable at -80°C for 6 months, or -20°C for 1 month. Stability will need to be tested by the end user.
