General description

Pyriproxifen is an insect growth regulator[1] or pesticide[2], which can be used to control insects at a narrow scale.[1] Its mode of action involves the inhibition of the process of metamorphosis of immature scale.[1]

Application

Pyriproxifen may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in gaseous and particulate phases in the atmosphere,[3] oranges,[4] globe artichoke leaves and fruits,[5] water and wastewater,[6] and different classes of food and feed[7] by various analytical techniques.
