Descripción general

NanoFabTx Microfluidic - nano device kit is a set of plug-and-play, easy-to-use microfluidic components that are compatible with Dolomite microfluidic systems and standard syringe pumps (not included). The device kit can be combined with our special nanoformulation kits (please visit www.sigmaaldrich.com/nanofabtx) to form nanoparticles or liposomes 100 to 200 nm in size. The device kit includes a comprehensive protocol, pre-assembled microfluidic chip manifold, tubing, and required accessories.

Aplicación

NanoFabTx Microfluidic - nano device kit is designed to work with NanoFabTx - nano reagent kits (including 909637, 918075, and 907766) to synthesize drug-encapsulating liposome nanoparticles (LNP) and drug-encapsulating polymeric nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery research. Our device kit simplifies LNP formulation and polymeric nanoformulation by leveraging microfluidic technologies to achieve narrow size dispersity and high batch-to-batch consistency. The microfluidic chip manifold is chemically robust and compatible with a variety of solvents and therapeutics relevant in nanomedicine. The microfluidic chip geometries and controllable flow enable the user to achieve targetable particle diameters with homogenous shape and structure from 100 to 200 nm in size. By enabling users to easily fine-tune the synthetic parameters, our microfluidic-based tool allows scalable synthesis of drug-encapsulating nanocarriers for researchers in the field of precision medicine, drug discovery, and nanoparticle cancer treatment.

  1. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.   2. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

    1. This product includes 1 chip and the additional tubing, valves, and accessories required for use. The kit components, including the chip, are reusable. However, proper cleaning is required. Please see the link below to review the product usage instructions, including the cleaning protocol:

  4. Can more information be provided on the material of construction for NanoFabTx microfluidic chip product 911593? Additionally, is this product compatible with ethyl acetate?

    1. Regarding fluidic compatibility, the most effective approach to address this question is for a review of the fluidic pathway involved, after which compatibility can be verified. The components are as follows:
      1.Tubing: PTFE/FEP – Resistant (A)
      2.Chip: B270 Crown Glass – Resistant (A)
      3.Linear Connector: PEEK – Resistant (A)
      4.Linear Connector Seal: FFKM – Resistant (A)
      5.Linear Connector Screws: Stainless Steel (316) - Resistant (B)
      6.H-Interface: Aluminum - Resistant (A)
      In general, the flow path demonstrates excellent resistance to ethyl acetate. It is advisable to flush the flow path with DI Water/IPA (filtered) before introducing a target solvent to ensure that the fluidic pathway is properly sealed and not leaking prior to use. Additionally, once the process is complete, flushing the solvent out of the system is recommended to ensure cleanliness and dryness.
