Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 17 (ARHGEF17), also known as tumor endothelial marker 4 (TEM4) and p164-RhoGEF (Rho-specific guanine-nucleotide exchange factor), encodes a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for RhoA GTPases. The encoded protein consists of 1510 amino acids and contains a RhoGEF-specific Dbl homology (DH) domain. It does not contain the typical pleckstrin homology domain. TEM4 is predominantly expressed in the heart. Overexpression of this protein inhibits the transcription of M3 muscarinic receptor-induced genes. TEM4 modulates endothelial cell migration.
Immunogen
TEM4 antibody was raised against a 18 amino acid peptide near the center of human TEM4.
