Application

Amersham™ Protran® Premium Western blotting membranes, nitrocellulose may be used in:
  • Western blotting
  • Southern blotting
  • Northern blotting

  • Offers low auto-fluorescence across a wide range of excitation/emission wavelengths
  • The membrane is suitable for fluorescence-based immunodetection and multiplexing.
  • High binding capacity (173 – 203 μg IgG/cm2) of small proteins (< Mr 20 000)
  • Reduces "blow-through" risk
  • For laboratory application, precut sizes are available
  • Provides supreme sensitivity, resolution, and low background, specifically when used with the fluorescence Amersham ECL plex Western blotting detection system
