The adhesion and degranulation adaptor protein (ADAP) acts as an adapter protein of the FYN and LCP2 signaling cascades in T-cells. ADAP modulates the expression of interleukin-2 (IL-2) and it is suggested to be involved in platelet activation. Additionally ADAP is shown to prevent the degradation of SKAP1 and SKAP2 and may play a role in linking T-cell signaling to the remodeling of the actin cytoskeleton. ADAP is expressed in hematopoietic tissues such as myeloid and T-cells, spleen and thymus. At least two isoforms of ADAP are known to exist.
Specificity
This antibody recognizes the C-terminus of ADAP.
Immunogen
Epitope: C-terminus
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human ADAP.
