CYCLOBOND I 2000 se une a la β-ciclodextrina mediante un proceso patentado para producir una matriz estable con la ciclodextrina dispuesta de tal forma que conserva su propiedad más valiosa de formar complejos de inclusión. Esto las permite efectuar numerosas separaciones químicas al incluir selectivamente en sus cavidades una amplia variedad de moléculas orgánicas. También son posibles separaciones de no inclusión con el modo orgánico polar para una amplia variedad de tipos de molécula.
