Descripción general

CCR5 is a chemokine receptor belonging to the super family of seven-transmembrane G-protein coupled receptors that mediates cellular functions of immune response, leukocyte migration, development and angiogenesis. CCR5 is expressed on macrophages and Th1 cells activated on inflammation, osteoclasts and vascular smooth muscle cells. Three CC chemokines, CCL3, 4 and 5 bind efficiently to CCR5, whereas CCL7, 8 and 13 bind less efficiently. The expression of CCR5 protein is most important in resistance to HIV-1 and hepatitis C virus infections and reportedly influences the course and progression of the infection. Anti-CCR5, N-Terminal specifically recognizes N terminal of human CCR5 (C-C chemokine receptor type 5).

Inmunógeno

synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal amino acids 6-20 of human CCR5.

Aplicación

Anti-CCR5, N-Terminal antibody may be used for western blot at 1 μg/mL and for immunohistochemistry at 2.5 μg/mL.

Forma física

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.
