The product has been optimized for use in protein purification in which the cells would be lysed prior to applying a magnetic field to achieve separation. In principal, there is no reason that the product could not be used in cell separation, however the it has not been tested as such. The researcher would have to determine suitability.

General description
This product is a conjugate of activated magnetic cross-linked agarose beads to a polyclonal antibody that was raised against the c-Myc sequence. The c-Myc peptide tag sequence (EQKLISEEDL) is an epitope that is located within amino acid residues 410-419 of the human c-Myc protein. This tag is used in recombinant protein expression and for purification of c-Myc tagged proteins expressed in bacterial and mammalian cells.
