Descripción general

A water-soluble and odorless disulfide reducing agent which is more stable and effective than DTT. TCEP reduces even the most stable water-soluble alkyl disulfides at pH 4.5 within 5 min. TCEP is also capable of functioning as a reducing agent even in pH range of 1.5-8.5. Is more resistant to air-oxidation as compared to DTT.

Aplicación

• Peptide and Protein Desulfurization with Diboron Reagents.: This study investigates the use of TCEP hydrochloride in peptide and protein desulfurization, demonstrating its effectiveness in facilitating diboron-mediated reactions. (Jing & Walczak, 2024).
