應用
All Prestige Antibodies Powered by Atlas Antibodies are developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project and as a result, are supported by the most extensive characterization in the industry.
The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. These images and the collection of this vast data set can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. We also provide Prestige Antibodies® protocols and other useful information.

生化/生理作用
TOP1MT (topoisomerase (DNA) I, mitochondrial) encodes a type IB topoisomerase. At the N-terminal end, it contains a mitochondrial localization sequence instead of a nuclear localization signal, thus, called as TOP1MT. In presence of divalent metal (Ca2+ or Mg2+) and alkaline pH, it shows optimum activity in several DNA metabolic processes. It is essentially required for DNA strand entanglements, chromatin compaction, and DNA decatenation during replication and recombination.
特點和優勢
Prestige Antibodies® are highly characterized and extensively validated antibodies with the added benefit of all available characterization data for each target being accessible via the Human Protein Atlas portal linked just below the product name at the top of this page. The uniqueness and low cross-reactivity of the Prestige Antibodies® to other proteins are due to a thorough selection of antigen regions, affinity purification, and stringent selection. Prestige antigen controls are available for every corresponding Prestige Antibody and can be found in the linkage section.
Every Prestige Antibody is tested in the following ways:
Every Prestige Antibody is tested in the following ways:
- IHC tissue array of 44 normal human tissues and 20 of the most common cancer type tissues.
- Protein array of 364 human recombinant protein fragments.

DNA topoisomerases pass DNA strands through each other, a function essential for all DNA metabolic processes that create supercoils or entanglements of DNA. Topoisomerases play an ambivalent role in nuclear genome maintenance: Deficiency compromises gene transcription, replication and chromosome segregation
Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 98(19), 10608-10613 (2001-08-30)
Tension generated in the circular mitochondrial genome during replication and transcription points to the need for mtDNA topoisomerase activity. Here we report a 601-aa polypeptide highly homologous to nuclear topoisomerase I. The N-terminal domain of this novel topoisomerase contains a
Biochimie, 89(4), 474-481 (2006-12-13)
Mitochondria are the only organelles containing metabolically active DNA besides nuclei. By analogy with the nuclear topoisomerases, mitochondrial topoisomerase activities are probably critical for maintaining the topology of mitochondrial DNA during replication, transcription, and repair. Mitochondrial diseases include a wide
Molecular cell, 69(1), 9-23 (2018-01-02)
How mtDNA replication is terminated and the newly formed genomes are separated remain unknown. We here demonstrate that the mitochondrial isoform of topoisomerase 3α (Top3α) fulfills this function, acting independently of its nuclear role as a component of the Holliday junction-resolving
The EMBO journal, 40(6), e107165-e107165 (2021-02-24)
Mitochondria contain an autonomous and spatially segregated genome. The organizational unit of their genome is the nucleoid, which consists of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and associated architectural proteins. Here, we show that phase separation is the primary physical mechanism for assembly
