應用

(-)Epinephrine (+)-bitartrate salt has been used:
  • to test the possible existence of β-adrenergic vasodilation[2]
  • to infuse into the adipose region to minimize blood loss and tissue contamination[3]
  • as a platelet agonist in the preparation of optimal platelet aggregometry 96-well plates[4]
  • in the measurement of total superoxide dismutase (tSOD) enzymatic activity[5]

Epinephrine is mainly liberated from adrenal medulla in response to stress, that is facilitated through sympathetic fibers.[6]
