一般描述

三氯化铁六水合物可从三氯化铁从水中结晶得到。用三维单晶 X 射线衍射数据研究了它的晶体结构。其晶体有两个氯离子和四个水分子围绕每个铁离子排列成八面体 -[FeCl2(OH2)4]+ 离子具有 C2h-2/m对称性。

应用

六水三氯化铁可用作氧化剂,用于以下转化:
  • 醛与邻氨基苯甲醚缩合合成 2-取代-4-(3 H )-喹唑啉酮(收率 = 77-93%)。
  • 1,4-二氢吡啶 (1,4-DHPs) 氧化成相应的的吡啶。
  • 将 4-异丙基-1,4-DHP 氧化为脱烷基化吡啶。
