Tyrosinase ist eine kupferhaltige Oxidase, die auf Catechine und Cresol reagiert. Sie ist für Bräunungsvorgänge verantwortlich. Berichten zufolge hat das Enzym zwei Bindungsstellen für aromatische Substrate und eine weitere Bindungsstelle für Sauerstoff-Kupfer. Das Kupfer ist wahrscheinlich Cu(I), bei Inaktivierung mit Oxidation zu Cu(II)-Ion.
Tyrosinase ist eine kupferhaltige Oxidase, die auf Catechine und Cresol reagiert. Tyrosinase nimmt an der Umwandlung von Tyrosin in Dihydroxyphenylalanin (DOPA) teil. Die Polymerisation von DOPA führt zur Bildung von Melanin. Tyrosinase spielt eine Rolle in Bräunungsreaktionen. Das Enzym verfügt offenbar über zwei Bindungsstellen für aromatische Substrate und eine eindeutige Bindungsstelle für Sauerstoff-Kupfer.

Anwendung

Tyrosinaseaktivität wurde in einer Studie zur Entwicklung eines alternativen Therapeutikums zur Behandlung der Hyperpigmentation untersucht. [1] Tyrosinase wurde auch in einer Studie eingesetzt, die den okulokutanen Albinismus-Phänotyp in der pakistanischen Bevölkerung untersuchte. [2]

    1. The certificate of analysis for the lot will report the exact tyrosinase activity for a particular batch. The lot number can be found on the label of the bottle, or you can call technical service (800-325-5832) for a sample lot number to view the online certificate of analysis.

  9. The website says Product T3824, Tyrosinase from mushroom, should be stored at -20°C, but I received it at room temperature. Is this correct?

    1. The product is shipped at ambient temperature and is stable for up to two weeks during shipment.  Once received, it is recommended to store the product at -20°C to insure the quality for long term storage.

  10. I used to order another tyrosinase (Product No. T7755), which has since been discontinued. What is the difference between the replacement product T3824 and the discontinued product T7755?

    1. The difference between these two products is that T3824 has been stabilized with trehalose, while T7755 was not.
