General description
The MOPC-104E tumor line that produces mouse IgM is a mineral oil induced plasmacytoma originated and carried intraperitoneally in BALB/c mice. Mouse consists of five immunoglobulin classes- IgM, IgG, IgA, IgD and IgE. IgM is present on the surface of B lymphocytes in its monomeric form.
Specificity
Antigen Specificity: α(1→3) glucose
Application
IgM, λ from murine myeloma has been used as control in chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis. It has also been used in immunohistochemitsry.
IgM, λ from murine myeloma was used as a control antibody in ChIP analysis of GATA-1-null and GATA-1-positive G1E cells.
Biochem/physiol Actions
IgM antibodies are present as pentamers in the serum and are produced in response to antigens.
