Topiramate (Topamax®) is an antiepileptic medication used as adjunctive and monotherapy in patients with epilepsy and for migraine prophylaxis. A GC-MS assay was developed that was capable of detecting topiramate plasma concentrations following a single rectal or oral dose administration.
