Buturon belongs to the class of phenyl-urea herbicides, widely used in agriculture since they can inhibit the process of photosynthesis in weeds. These herbicides are employed for the selective or nonselective control of many annual and perennial weeds in corn, soybean, cotton, rice, and potato crops.[1][2]
