일반 설명
γ-Glutamyltransferase (GGT, EC 2.3.2.2) is a membrane-bound protein that catalyzes the transfer of -glutamyl moieties to acceptor molecules such as amino acids or peptides. GGT plays a key role in the λ-glutamyl cycle, a critical pathway for glutathione homeostasis as well as the detoxification of xenobiotics. Serum GGT levels can be elevated in many pathophysiological conditions such as cardiovascular disease, chronic liver disease, and metabolic syndrome. Elevated serum levels of GGT can also be indicative of oxidative stress.
애플리케이션
γ-Glutamyltransferase (GGT) Activity Colorimetric Assay Kit has been used to assess the activity of γ-glutamyltransferase.
특징 및 장점
Compatible with high-throughput handling systems.
적합성
Suitable for the measurement of gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) in a variety of samples including tissue, cells and serum
원리
The GGT Activity Colorimetric Assay kit provides a simple and direct procedure for measuring GGT activity in a variety of samples. GGT activity is determined by a coupled enzyme assay, in which the GGT transfers the γ-glutamyl group from the substrate L-γ-Glutamyl-p-nitroanilide, liberating the chromogen p-nitroanilide (pNA, 418 nm) proportional to the GGT present. One unit of GGT is the amount of enzyme that will generate 1.0μmole of pNA per minute at 37 °C.

HIF-1α is a key factor promoting the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). As well, AKT-AMPKα-mTOR signaling is a promising target for cancer therapy. Yet, the AKT-AMPKα-mTOR-dependent activation of HIF-1α has not been studied in livers with HCC. In addition, the

The well-established 3D organoid culture method enabled efficient expansion of cholangiocyte-like cells from intrahepatic (IHBD) and extrahepatic bile duct (EHBD) tissue biopsies. The extensive expansion capacity of these organoids enables various applications, from cholangiocyte disease modelling to bile duct tissue

Current in vitro models for identifying nephrotoxins are poorly predictive. We differentiated human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) into three-dimensional, multicellular structures containing proximal tubule cells (PTCs) and podocytes and evaluated them as a platform for predicting nephrotoxicity. The PTCs showed

Diseases of the bile duct (cholangiopathies) remain a common indication for liver transplantation, while little progress has been made over the last decade in understanding the underlying pathophysiology. This is largely due to lack of proper in vitro model systems
