Sudan III is a non-ionic lipophilic dye.[1] It belongs to the class of azo dyes.[2] Sudan III is used for tissue ceroid and lipofuscin analysis and blood-cell staining.[3] It is used to color waxes, oils and spirit varnishes. Sudan III stains triglycerides in frozen sections.[2]

애플리케이션

Sudan III has been used as an absorber to make turbid phantoms.[4][5] It has also been used as a colorant to determine emulsification capacity.[6]
