SCT037, BioTracker Far Red Labile Fe2+ Dye exclusively stains live or viable cells and does not have a staining protocol for use on dead or non-viable cells. SCT037 is equivalent to FerroFarRed™ from Goryo Chemical.

Hi, I was wondering if the BioTracker Labile Iron dye # SCT037 can be freeze-thawed after being resuspended in DMSO for a second use. Also, is it fixable? Thank you.

Storing as a solution is not recommended. In solution, the reagent degrades and the fluorescence background signal may increase.
Yes, the FerroFarRed can be fixed under mild conditions such as 3% Paraformaldehyde for 10min at 4 °C. The fluorescence of this dye significantly diminishes when fixed in 3% PFA for 20min at RT.도움이 되었습니까?
