2,2-Diethoxypropionitrile may be used in the synthesis of [²H₄]-acetyl-2-thiazoline.[2] It may be used in the synthesis of 2-acetyl-2-thiazoline by condensation reaction with cysteamine, followed by the hydrolysis.[1]
