Tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1) belongs to the TNFR superfamily and is ubiquitously expressed. It comprises an extracellular domain with a cysteine-rich motif, a transmembrane segment, and an intracellular domain with a “death domain” motif. The TNFR1 gene is mapped to human chromosome 12p13.31.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human TNF Receptor I.
Immunogen Range: 381-430
Application
Anti-TNF Receptor I antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunostaining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1) is crucial for TNF for eliciting proinflammatory functions. Through its dead domain motif, TNFR1 interacts with the TNF receptor-associated death domain protein (TRADD). TNFR1 regulates cytotoxic signaling pathways. Blockage of TNFR1 in mouse model harboring respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection results in enhanced bronchoconstriction.

The death domain of tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 is necessary but not sufficient for Golgi retention of the receptor and mediates receptor desensitization.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the leading cause of bronchiolitis in infants and young children. Although some clinical studies have speculated that tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α is a major contributor of RSV-mediated airway disease, experimental evidence remains unclear or conflicting.
Role of TNF-TNF Receptor 2 Signal in Regulatory T Cells and Its Therapeutic Implications.
Patients with lymph node metastasis-negative (pN0) invasive breast cancer have favorable outcomes following initial treatment. However, false negatives which occur during routine histologic examination of lymph nodes are reported to underestimate the clinical stage of disease. To identify a high-risk
