General description
Application
Sera-Mag™ Magnetic Olido(dt) particles can be used for convenient isolation and extraction of mRNA from a variety of sources for downstream applications such as RT-PCR, cDNA library construction, cDNA microarrays, affinity purification, primer extension and subtractive hybridization.[1][2][3]
Features and Benefits
- Carboxylic groups on the surface permit easy covalent coupling to biomolecules of interest using convenient carbodiimide chemistry.
- Different levels of hydrophobicity/hydrophilicity available.
- Available in Sera-Mag™ SpeedBeads and original Sera-Mag™ versions.
- Excellent sensitivity and low nonspecific binding for greater accuracy.
- Fast Magnetic Response Times and Stable Physical Integrity.
- Very high, specific poly A+ binding capacity ensures maximum extraction of mRNA.
- Covalently bound oligo(dT)14 prevents leaching from the particle surface.
- Encapsulation means no exposed iron and minimized interference with downstream enzymatic applications.
- Uniform, nominal 1 μm diameter provides high surface area and excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility.
