General description

Sodium phosphate dibasic dihydrate is a highly hygroscopic and water-soluble compound. It is used in water softeners, cleaners also as buffers in particular formulations.

Application

Sodium phosphate dibasic dihydrate is used:
  • In the synthesis of BiOCl/BiPO4 composites from bismuth nitrate pentahydrate and potassium chloride by the microwave-assisted hydrothermal method.
  • To prepare sodium phosphate buffer solution.
  • As a phosphorus source in the synthesis of Mg-doped hydroxyapatite nanoplates.
