Both plates Y04C and Y04T are suitable for long-term culture (3 days or more). However, with Y04C, yeast cells will stop dividing after approximately 24 hours, while with Y04T, cells will continue to divide. In the case of Y04T, it is primarily the "Mother" cells that are retained and continue to divide, making the plate suitable for customers interested in "split lifetime measurement." It is recommended for the end user to start with Y04C to get a feel for CellASIC and then try Y04T as needed, as Y04C would be easier to get started and use. Regarding shelf life, it is recommended to use the plate within 6 months of receipt.
Y04C-02-5PK
CellASIC ONIX plate for haploid yeast cells (4 chamber, 3.5-5 micron)
The Y04 plates for Haploid Yeast Cells utilize a microfabricated silicone ceiling with a height similar to yeast cells to restrict their growth in a single focal plane & maintaining x,y position over time.
Synonym(s):
Haploid Yeast Cell Plate, Haploid Yeast Plate, ONIX Yeast Plate
