Specificity
Recognizes alpha2/delta-1 subunit, N-terminal. The epitope does not share homology with any other known proteins. Reactivity has been verified only in rat membranes.
Immunogen
Epitope: Voltage Gated alpha 2/delta-1, L-type
Peptide corresponding to 15 amino acids from the rabbit alpha2 subunit (residues 27-41 of rabbit alpha2/delta-1 precursor) P13806. By sequence comparsions, the immunogen sequence used is identical in human, porcine, with mouse and rat missing only a single amino acid.
Application
Detect Calcium Channel using this Anti-Calcium Channel Antibody, Voltage Gated α 2/δ-1, L-type validated for use in WB.
Analysis Note
Control
CONTROL ANTIGEN: Included free of charge with the antibody is 20 μg of control antigen. The stock solution of the antigen can be made up using 100 μL of sterile deionized water. For negative control, preincubate 0.75 μg of peptide with 1 μg of antibody for one hour at room temperature. Optimal concentrations must be determined by the end user.
