Quality
Routinely evaluated by kinase assay
Physical form
500 µg recombinant MBP in 500 µl of 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 500 mM imidazole, 1 mM PMSF, and 10% glycerol. Frozen solution.
ProBond Resin chromatography

Analysis Note
Specific Activity: This lot was successfully phosphorylated in a non-radioactive kinase assay using recombinant active MAP Kinase 2/Erk2 (Catalog # 14-173). MBP phosphorylation was detected by immunoblot analysis using anti-phospho-MBP (Catalog # 05-429). Immunoblot shown to the right.

Myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG) and Nogo inhibit neurite outgrowth by binding to receptors such as NgR1, PirB and LRP1, and they have also been shown to induce phosphorylation of Smad2, a key intermediate in the transforming growth factor β (TGFβ) signalling
