General description
L-Thyroxine-13C6 is an isotopically labeled form of the tyrosine-based thyroid hormone, thyroxine (T4). Thyroxine is secreted by the thyroid gland and is involved in different biological processes, such as growth, neurodevelopment, carbohydrate & oxygen metabolism, and protein synthesis
Application
- Combination of hollow fiber-liquid-phase microextraction (HF-LPME) based sample preparation and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric (LC-MS/MS) determination of total thyroxine in serum samples
- Development of an LC-MS/MS method for the multi-residue analysis of melatonin, cortisol, triiodothyronine, thyroxine, and testosterone in rat serum samples following their dual liquid-liquid extraction
- Simultaneous determination of thyroxine by an isotope dilution-matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) method from human serum samples
- Estimation of thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) in rat cardiac tissue samples by a high-performance liquid chromatographic-tandem mass spectrometric (HPLC-MS/MS) method following their derivatization
- Establishing and validating an LC-MS/MS-based method for the quantification of endogenous thyroid hormones, T4 and two of its T3 isomers, in tissue samples obtained from lamprey, following the enzymatic digestion and protein precipitation of the samples
Features and Benefits
- Fully characterized under ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034 accreditation
- Accompanied with a comprehensive Certificate of Analysis (CoA) with data on stability, homogeneity, accuracy of concentration, uncertainty, and traceability
- Rigorously tested through real-time stability studies to ensure accuracy and shelf life
- Gravimetrically prepared using qualified precision balances to ensure minimal uncertainty
- Flame sealed under argon into ampoules for long-term shelf life
- Offered in a convenient, DEA-exempt format to improve laboratory efficiency
