General description

An internal standard suitable for quantification of pentylone in synthetic cathinone testing methods by LC/MS or GC/MS for applications in forensic analysis, urine drug testing, or clinical toxicology. Pentylone, developed in the 1960s, is a synthetic cathinone sold in bath salt blends such as “NRG-1” with other synthetic cathinones including flephedrone, MDPBP, MDPV, and MPPP. Pentylone has also been found in a separate blend with MPPP called “NRG-3.”
