CFTR(inh)-172は、嚢胞性線維症膜コンダクタンス制御因子(CFTR)のインヒビターです。Ki値は300 nMです。CFTR(inh)-172は急速かつ可逆的に電位非依存性の阻害を引き起こし、動物の止瀉薬として作用します。また、嚢胞性線維症やコレラ菌による下痢、その他分泌性下痢の動物モデルにおける研究手段として有用であると言われています。CTFR(inh)-172は、既知の非特異的CFTRインヒビターであるDPC、NPPB(製品番号N4779)やグリベンクラミドと構造上の類縁性はありません。
